Then comments kept on flooding in and I’ve never had so many people stare at me in my life. I dashed to the bathroom to look at my skin- it was Red, Oily and Spotty and my hair messed up by the wind. I needed to work on this pronto.

As soon as I got home that afternoon I went online and ordered Individual eyelashes, Moisturizers, serums and cleansers- I was determined to stop wearing makeup, maxing out my parent's credit card in the process. I ordered lighter coloured clothing and worked on my newly blonde hair, Liv the Ginge was now gone. 

The next day I walked into school with a bit more confidence; the occasional ‘let’s see how long this lasts’ happened with nobody clearly believing that I can fully ever story wearing makeup. By the time it was day 8 I felt normal, feeling even more like myself than I ever have- no longer hiding behind a false persona of foundation and contour. As soon as I got my nose pierced everyone had something new to obsess over other than me no longer having a cake face.

- Honestly, these make me feel glamorous and older, without them I look like a fur-less depressed cat. They’re the only bit of makeup I allow myself to wear and they last for 1-2 weeks meaning I can forget about them every so often. They are also 1/4 of the price of getting lashes done professionally and with a little practice, they look exactly the same! 

TINT EYEBROWS

Eyelure Eyebrow tint

- Being a natural ginger means I have zero eyebrows and tinting then every week started to get very expensive very quickly meaning I had to improvise and do them myself. After a couple of times doing it, it becomes like second natural whilst saving me £30 every month! 

- The box lasts about 8 times depending on how much you use so it is amazing value 

MOISTURISER

No joke but this is literally the best moisturiser you will ever put on your face. It instantly sinks into your skin, taking away all the shine and leaving you with a matte complexion for the entirety of the day. Its only £16, which is almost half the price of other moisturisers like this from other brands.

Honestly, after not wearing makeup every day I finally look in the mirror and think 'gosh I am beautiful'. Call me full of myself but honestly, I think that we all need a little bit more of self-love now.
